Walkway

Background.
In the holy week of 2009, Church Simplified, in partnership with the Fort Bonifacio Global Corp. and award-winning production house Provill, staged WALKWAY: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross.

Walkway was a week-long interactive art installation exhibit depicting the events of the final week of Jesus Christ.

Fourteen massive stations were sprawled through the kilometer-long open grounds of the Bonifacio High Street shopping complex.

The Walkway exhibit culminated with an open-air Easter concert held also at the mall grounds, featuring some of the country’s finest recording artists: Barbie Alamalbis, Imago, Salamin, Julianne, Marcus Davis, Jr., Amber Davis, and Radha.

The attendance was overwhelming. Droves from different communities, schools, youth groups,
mall patrons, people from surrounding cities, and families came to appreciate the modern and creative take on the Lenten tradition commonly known as The Stations of the Cross.

As a result, Church Simplified received immense praise and positive feedback through notes, letters and posts made on the website and Facebook fan page.

The event received over three thousand five hundred subscriptions to the CS mailing list, and Bonifacio High Street received its highest foot traffic in any holy week season with an attendance of over forty thousand people.

A Re-staging.
This holy week, Church Simplified is once again staging Walkway: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross.

The Exhibit will utilize the entire mall grounds of Bonifacio High Street from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday, March 28 to April 5, 2010.

Walkway will also cap off with a concert celebration on Easter Sunday featuring top recording artists.
