This Wednesday at Fully Booked

Illustrated by Samantha Godinez

When the destination seems unreachable;
And life spirals out of control;
When what you thought could be and should be, can't be...
What do you do? How do you respond to broken dreams--even the ones you believe God gave you?

This Wednesday at Church Simplified, join us as we close our current series, The Boulevard of Broken Dreams. See you there!

Interact: Which Station Moved You?

Hi guys!

For those who joined us last Wednesday at our Stations of the Cross exhibit, thanks so much for dropping by!

If you missed it in Fully Booked though, we're mounting the Stations exhibit in Festival Mall Alabang from Monday to Wednesday this week (March 17 to 19). We are at South City Church on the second floor (directly above National Bookstore).

Anyway, the team just wanted to get feedback on which station moved you. Was there anything in particular that hit you, or spoke to you in a special way? Or any suggestions for next year's mounting, perhaps? ;) Do let us know, your thoughts are always valuable to us.

Have an awesome Holy Week, everyone!

Hope you all had an awesome weekend!

Here's a treat for those who didn't get to join us last Wednesday: We've got Robin Nievera, last week's guest artist, on video singing a U2 cover and two original songs.

Robin plays with Frame Ong on bass and Andrew Quinley on kahon. Thanks for sharing your music with us, guys!

Happy Monday!

This Wednesday at Fully Booked

The Stations of the Cross is an awesome tradition that allows us to remember what Christ did for humanity.

This Wednesday come join us for an artistic, interactive, and, well, funkified version of this wonderful custom.

We meet at the 5th floor of Fully Booked this time, so you'll need to take the elevator up to the Top Shelf. The exhibit will be open from 7pm to 9pm.

As always, coffee and donuts care of Krispy Kreme and live music await you.

Interact: We want to hear from you! New Blog Portion

Hey Guys,

We would like to get to know you guys a little more and find out what goes on in the space between your ears :) We hope that we can get more interaction from all the peeps who attend CS (church simplified) and those who visit this blog site.

Basically we will post a weekly question that has something to do with the topic on Wednesdays (as much as possible) and we want to hear what you have to say. It is still a work in progress so if there are no responses to the first few posts then this new portion may not last very long :)

Eg. INTERACT: The Space Between - Morals: Question...

Although there will be a initial question, everybody can still add or expand the topic or even come up with new questions. Just click on the blog topic, enter the blog entry and post your comments per topic.

Bottomline: we want to connect with everyone, even if its through the internet initially. Have a great week and hope to hear from you guys soon :)

* comments can already start now... whatchathink?

Shameless Plug

Hey guys!

About nine months ago, myself and a bunch of friends from the local music scene released a various artist CD entitled, “The Better than Life Project”.

Here’s why you should pick up a copy:

  1. It wholly benefits the under-resourced children of Manila. Nope, not just 10%, not 50%, but the whole schlameal is being given to them via the Reach Youth Ministries. I'm not seeing a cent of the cashola, and I cant take credit for funding it either. Most of the resource for the project came through a Filipino-American community (my home church) in San Francisco called Bridgepoint Community Church.

  2. I wrote ALL the songs. Need I say more?☺ (Did you just feel a rush of blood to your head? hehehe.

  3. The awesome musicians. The album’s got Barbie Almalbis, Jay Durias, Naldy Gonzalez of Side A, Top Suzara, Radha, Pido, Chedi, Noah Krishna and Mike Luis, to name a few. And for you avid drummers out there, the great Benjie Mendez played on it.

  4. It's all ORIGINAL. For those of you tired of “Buttercup” you’ll appreciate this! If you're not tired of “Buttercup”, lets not even be friends. Hahaha, just kidding.

  5. Sshhh... There are some hidden tracks!

  6. Did I mention I wrote all the songs?
I'm sure I can come up with more, but hopefully that’s good enough to get you to narrow your margins by P250 bucks ONLY.

You can get the CD from Odyssey, House of Praise, and SM (I think). Here’s a tip though: if you get your copy from the House of Praise, more money goes to the kids. But if you cant find one, go ahead get it from Odyssey.

Here’s a two-song sampler to put some life into this blog ☺

Ciao for now,
Bebster
