Just in case you were wondering what in the world this thing is…

Here it is, sort of: Well, it’s CHURCH.

You’re not gonna be ambushed or bamboozled; no hidden fees here, no fine print—it is what it is. It’s church and it’s the kind where Jesus Christ is the proposed lens from which life is viewed.

At this point you've either tuned out, or survived my first sentence. ☺ Hopefully it’s the latter.

Jesus makes a lot of tough-to-hear claims about Himself, and constantly we are confronted with the option of writing him off as delusional (certainly a valid choice). For some of us, though, there is something about Jesus and his claims that we can’t seem to easily shake off—almost like the booger you can’t seem to pick. Hehehe. Sorry for the bad visual. However, if there was even the remotest possibility that Jesus is who he said he was, then the implications are huge, and you’ll probably want to take a closer look at him before you toss him into the looney bin.

The one thing we’re almost sure about is that there is a sense that everyone is on some form of a journey of Faith. Church Simplified is hopefully the environment where we can journey together, even for a little bit. And if our time together can be a catalyst into taking the next baby step toward God (no matter what that looks like in your life) then it maybe worth it to come and hang with us on Wednesday nights.
